Once upon a time in the north of the island of Berk, the young Viking, hiccups, wants to join his town to fight against the dragons that continually raid their town. However, his macho father and village leader, STOIK extensive, will not allow a small child, clumsy, but his inventive to do so. Regardless, enterprises hiccups in battle and downs a mysterious Night Fury dragon with his invention, but can not bring himself to kill it.
